Space to Emerge As Your Authentic Self
Discover counselling sessions with Wild Emergence, based in Calderdale, West Yorkshire, and online. Explore options for indoor, outdoor, or online sessions tailored to your needs.
Welcome. My name is Sarah Fay, I am the Founder of Wild Emergence Counselling. I am an Integrative Counsellor (MSc) and Ecotherapist. I work with whoever is drawn to work with me, regardless of where you find yourself on life's journey.
I work in an accepting, non-pathologising way - what does this mean? It means I work with the individual's relationship to their mind, emotions, and spirit through counselling and therapy, rather than working with or prioritising a diagnosis or label. This frees up space for the many parts that make us human to be present in counselling; including the parts we may feel uncomfortable sharing in our wider relationships. It is my aim to create a warm, accepting and empowering atmosphere to facilitate your healing potential.
I work in a standard online (video call) or in-person therapy room format. I also offer the option to work in nature-based settings in the Calder Valley area, for those who would like to explore their inner world within nature. Please see here for more information about my local venue, fees and availability. For more of a sense of how I work, and to access free support or resources, follow my new blog here on this website and my instagram @wild.emergence.counselling. I appreciate your engagement as I expand this new venture.

Affirmative & Inclusive

Your healing and self-discovery are at the heart of my approach.
I am trained as an Integrative Counsellor (MSc). I bring a variety of approaches and strategies from my training and experience to support your counselling needs. I work with you to explore and understand blocks, barriers or difficulties you encounter that impact your mental or emotional health. It is my wish to help you find ways to live a more meaningful, peaceful and authentic life. This may include, for example, managing stress reactions, adapting to change, or exploring a past or current event of emotional significance. I prioritise building enough emotional safety in the therapeutic relationship, so you can work to the depth and pace you feel most comfortable with in any given area of your life.
For many, the transformative powers of being truly heard by someone who is separate from their other relationships, can be healing enough. Together, we begin here.
