Space to Emerge As Your Authentic Self

Discover counselling sessions and healing arts offerings with Wild Emergence, based in Calderdale, West Yorkshire, and online. Explore options for indoor, outdoor, or online sessions tailored to your needs. NEW PAGE: Animism & Healing Arts!

Welcome. My name is Sarah Fay, I am the Founder of Wild Emergence Counselling. I am an Integrative Counsellor (MSc), Ecotherapist & Healing Arts Practitioner and Facilitator. I work with whoever is drawn to work with me, regardless of where you find yourself on life's journey. See below to learn more about my approach to counselling, therapy and the healing arts. I hope you find inspiration here. Welcome to Wild Emergence!

In my therapeutic work I focus on your relationship to mind, emotions, and spirit through counselling, therapy and the healing arts - rather than working with or prioritising a diagnosis or label, for example (though these are of course welcome). This frees up space for the many parts that make us human to be present without judgement; including the parts we may feel uncomfortable sharing in our wider relationships.

It is my aim to create a warm, accepting and empowering atmosphere - in my one-to-one work and in group settings - to facilitate and support your healing potential.

For one-to-one sessions, I work in a standard online (video call) or in-person therapy room format. I also offer the option to work in nature-based settings in the Calder Valley area, for those who would like to explore their inner world within nature.

Please see here for more information about my local venue, fees and availability. For more of a sense of how I work, and to access free support or resources, follow my new blog here on this website and my instagram @wild.emergence.counselling.

Affirmative & Inclusive

I aim to create a comfortable and affirmative space for marginalised experiences and diverse identities.

Your healing and self-discovery are at the heart of my approach.

I am trained as an Integrative Counsellor (MSc), with a background as an Educator, Mentor, Shamanic Practitioner & space-holder for therapeutic and earth-based ritual spaces. I bring a variety of approaches and strategies from my training and experience to support your therapeutic needs. I work with you to explore and understand blocks, barriers or difficulties you encounter. It is my wish to help you find ways to live a more meaningful, peaceful and authentic life. This may include, for example, managing stress or anxiety-based reactions, adapting to change or self discovery, learning some conflict-management technique in relationships, or exploring a past or current event of emotional significance.

I am trauma-informed & trauma trained. This means I prioritise building enough emotional safety in the therapeutic relationship, so you can work to the depth and pace you feel most comfortable with in any given area of your life.

For many, the transformative powers of being truly heard by someone who is separate from their other relationships, can be healing enough. Together, we begin here.
